Really liked the animation style and sound design. But the pacing made me anxious. (Like the word 'earlier' staying on screen for a few seconds....then sloooowly fading away.) Lots of long pauses that made it a little frustrating to watch, but everything else was good.

Interessting, Ill keept that in mind for future stuff, thanks for the advice

Good set up. And then what happens!?
How easy is it to learn blender? I haven't used 3d software in over 10 years. It wasn't super easy to learn back in the day. Not sure if that's changed...

DappledProductions responds:

Man, I'm still tryna get me head around getting 3D models of people to move/act out things without them turning into Geiger creatures. Should just say bugger it and make some kinda Alien sequel. Couldn't be any worse than what's out there already, right? Honestly, Blender has a steep learning curve, but all the necessary tutorials are on Youtube or similar these days. If you're actually interested in getting into the 3D stuff, I'd recommend it as a good (free) starting point from which to experiment. There's so much more I wanna do with it, but should probably start with animating rolling potatoes and slowly work my way up, aye. Cheers amigo

Getting a real 'tricia takanawa' vibe from this reporter

KARENWOOD responds:

lmao

Great comedic timing, color/style is fun to look at, and absolutely loved all the subtle little animated gestures. Plus, its super weird, and a little violent, which I enjoy. Wouldn't surprise me to see this picked up by a producer/distributor. Might be you never get 'discovered', but your'e making tv quality content. So...make more!

Gonna go watch the rest now.

Thank you very much for your very kind words!

Son, it said rated M, you know what you were getting yourself into.

i feel like this was possibly made by a crazy person. Transitions are jarring, robot voice is obnoxious, and the animation is...I don't even know what to say. BUT...you did create a story line with a start and end. a story with a start and an end and the randomness was endearing by the end. This reminds me of MSpaint drawings that are technical not very good, but yet, communicate what the artist wanted to say. Plus, your music selections were outstanding.

flashmakeit responds:

Yes, my Adobe Audition stop working and I could not record any voices so I went into effects generate speech and use their robotic voices. I do feel like Salvador Dali when I make a cartoon and yes I need to look at more tutorials on how to animate. That is an inspiring review I will consider when I make my next cartoon. I really did pick so awesome audio for this video.

Voices are great. Concept is...positive. But It barely qualifies as an animation. Would like to see this with more than 2 talking faces taking turns on screen. Animate a few of the things you're talking about.

lemonadeandlatte responds:

Thank you for your comment. This is one of our earlier shows. In some of our later shows we have tried to add more animation. But we're more about the message than the animation.

"Hornswoggled!" That was funny. I liked the animation style. Good level of grit to the apartment and realism to your models. Didn't really like the sphere of light around the candle...just seemed comparatively unrealistic. Music and voice-work sounded great. I'd watch another one.

WooleyWorld responds:

Welp. I'm about to finish another final in about a week or two.

Liked the voice acting. Good comedic timing and the 'alright' guy made me laugh. For some reason, I enjoy this level of animation more than something super polished. There's a charm to drawings that don't look quite right. I'd watch another.

NickoAnimations responds:

Thank you very much! I'm very happy you like the level of animation :) I'm going to keep the stylistic feel to the animations while making small changes to make the animation run smoother as a whole such as mouth movements, I assure you there is many more coming :D I'm currently working on Episode 3 which is Joe's experience with the rainbow pill haha
